It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna Rita Solar Landry (New Iberia, Louisiana), who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Warren Solar; her stepfather Noelie; her daughter Lisa Landry Quebedeaux; and her sisters, Myrna Fox and JoAnn Pinton.
She is survived by: her significant other Kermit George Landry; her daughter Melanie L. Broussard (Ted); her son-in-law Randal Quebedeaux; her grandchildren, Aaron Joseph Broussard, Brandy, Brittany Broussard Neuville and Layla Touchet; her great grandchildren, Lillian Broussard, London Broussard, Lyla Broussard, Andrew Camacho, Jonah Camacho and Isaac Neuville; her siblings, Donald Solar (Sharon), Robert Solar (Michelle), Mary Catherine Suire, Elizabeth Solar Bodin and Pamela Ann Solar; and her sister-in-law Lois Saunier.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Evangeline Funeral Home (314 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Marcellus Catholic Church (6100 Avery Island Rd, New Iberia, LA 70560). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
