She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Joseph Mayea and Marjorie Cranche Mayea; her husband David "Pete" Romero; her sister Alice Mayea Meaux; her brother-in-law Farrel Sinitere; and her grandparents, Bernard Cranche, Cora Rogers Cranche Kihnel, Charles Kihnel, Lucian Mayea and Alice Boudreaux Mayea.
She is survived by: her daughter Stacy Lea Romero; her grandson Drew Michael Guillot; and her sister Dolores "Dodie" Sinitere Broussard (Larry).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Pellerin Funeral Home - New Iberia (502 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
