He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Scelfo, Sr. and Jenny Saltaformaggio Scelfo; his wife Helen Scelfo; his grandchildren, Jacob Burl Cannon, Cynthia Jo Cannon and Rocky Scelfo; his great-nephew Sam Scelfo; and his brothers, Joseph Scelfo and Sam Scelfo.

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Cannon (Ray), Bernard "Butch" Scelfo, Jr. (Alice), Michael Scelfo (Debbie), Stephen Scelfo (Virginia), David Scelfo (Donna) and Paul Dean Scelfo (Tammy). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
