With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Goodwin Schwing of New Iberia, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 16, 2024 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Armond Kenneth Goodwin and Constance Savoca Goodwin; and her spouses, Kemp Hall Cooper and Jules Anthony "Tony" Schwing. She is survived by: her sister Judith Goodwin McIlhenny; her children, Armond Kemp Cooper Schwing (Jennifer), Tiffany Cooper Schwing Breaux (Kreig), Samuel Brett Cooper, Jules Blanchet "Chet" Schwing II (Julia) and Juliet Schwing Davis (Rusty); and her grandchildren, Alex Breaux, Sydney Schwing Smith, Sam Breaux, Rivers Schwing, Cameron Schwing, Russell Davis, Rosemary Davis, Remy Schwing and Jules Davis.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ARC of Acadiana, honoring Barbara's son Brett and her own spirit of giving and community involvement.
