He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Prince Trautman and Alfred Louis Trautman, Sr.; his daughters, Wendy Pete and Pauline Sonnier; his grandson Matthew Gilley; his in-laws, Stoney Hotard and Constance Broussard Hotard; and his nephew Louis "Deanie" Arton, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Sally Trautman; his children, Alfred Louis Trautman III (Sarah) and Candi Rogers (Howard); his siblings, David Trautman, Glynn Trautman, Barbara Arton and Gloria Boutte (Carroll); his grandchildren, Emily Pete, Spencer Pete (Lani), James McNett (Monic), Desiree McNett, James Hale III and Patrick Rogers; and his great grandchildren, Camille Pete, Gunner Pete, Micah Dysart and Isaiah McNett.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (108 E St Peter St, New Iberia, LA 70560). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
