He is survived by: his wife Loretha Marks Gardner; his brothers, Hurley and Bobby Calbert; his stepchildren, Barrow Marks, Floyd Nelson, Gail Nelson, Darlene Stewart and Laura Joshua-Watson; his siblings, Caledonia Bailey, Eddie Mae Gardner, James Gardner, Willie Gardner and Mary Katherine Johnson; his daughter Delcenia Gardner-Reye; his stepchildren, Joyce Nelson and Steven Nelson; and his granddaughter Anastacia Reyes-Jack. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and friends.
