He was predeceased by: his parents, McKinley Monette, Sr. and Julia Metoyer Monette; his siblings, Cecile Monette, Gladys Monette, Stanley Monette, Leo Monette and Willie Monette; and his stepdaughter Shirley Carpenter.
He is survived by: his siblings, McKinley Monette, Jr. and Mary Silva; and his stepchildren, Donald Carpenter, Carolyn Bryant, Catherine Harris and Ruby Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A Mass was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (423 LA-495, Cloutierville, LA 71416). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery.
