We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2022, at the age of 76, Mary Anne Giering of Natchitoches, Louisiana, born in Lake Providence, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Nelle Avery Erwin and William Joseph "Joe" Erwin Sr.; and her siblings, William Joseph "WJ" Erwin Jr. and Frances Nelle Erwin Evans. She is survived by: her friend Gene Hutson; her husband Edmund "Ed" Jacob Giering III; her son Edmund Jacob Giering IV (Cathy); her grandchildren, Edmund Jacob "Jake" Giering V and Catherine Kieffer "Cate" Giering; her son Jeffrey Lawrence Giering (Melissa); her grandsons, Parker Joseph Giering and Tyler Jacob Giering; her daughter Lillian Anne Giering; her brother Joseph "Joe" Avery; her siblings-in-law, Francis "Buddy" Giering (Beverly), Dr. David A. Lee (Maria), Katherine "Kay" Giering and Melanie Lee; and her caregiver Crystal Robinson. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anne's name to St. Mary's Catholic School or the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
