She was predeceased by: her parents, Ovela D. Cournoyer and Alexandra Brzoska Cournoyer; her husband Jesus "Jesse" M. Taitano; her son David J. Taitano; and her sister Claire Jordan.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Dobbs (Larry), Jesse Taitano (Cindy) and Lynn Quinn (Glen); her grandchildren, Jessica Dobbs, Tara Rourke (Jon), Cory Taitano, Rebecca Balcerek (Randy), Shawn Taitano, Tristan Taitano, Wyatt Quinn and Brayden Taitano; and her great grandchildren, Makayla Matthews, Logan, Jaxson Krnavek, Jack, Tylie Rourke, Emmett, Russell and Connor Balcerek.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church (119 Tally St, Campti, LA 71411). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (3348 University Pkwy, Leesville, LA 71446).
