With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eleanor LaCaze Garcie Dowden of Natchitoches, Louisiana, born in Flora, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2024 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix LaCaze and Edna Desadier LaCaze; her son Thomas Theo Garcie; her former husband Aubrey Garcie, Sr.; and her husband Jack Dowden.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Dean Garcie (Juanita), Marilyn Diane Johnson, Aubrey Garcie, Jr., Marvin Garcie (Nancy) and Star Hamous (Juddy); and her grandchildren, Holly Garcie, Shanna Prejean (Garrett), Marty Garcie, Marlena Goss, Mindy Trahan, Marianna Johnson, Jonathan Garcie (Jessica), Chad Garcie, Heidi Garcie, Shane Garcie (Mary), Mica Garcie, Christian Cain Hamous (Taylor) and Cody Hamous. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
