Connie Walker Obituary

Our beloved Frances Connelia Smith Weeks Walker (Connie) went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 15, 2022. Connie was born on November 10, 1944 to Clarence "Bunkum" Smith and Letha Staggs Smith in Natchitoches, LA.

There will be a graveside service to honor Connie on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Rest Cemetery located on Highway 177 in Pelican, Louisiana. Brother Shawn Thrapp will be officiating the service. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Chris Hicks, Clay Hicks, Ty Moran, Wade Smith, Kaleb Edwards, and Chase Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Edwards, Cameron Edwards, and Jevan Wilson.

Those who loved Connie and are now left behind with beautiful memories of a lady that no one could ever forget, are her husband Allen "Bo" Walker, son Arlin Weeks, Jr., granddaughters Amanda and Kalin Weeks, brothers Ronnie (Sharon) Smith, Larry (Deanna) Smith, sisters Brenda (Alben "Bubba") Walker and Patricia Hicks. Also her nieces Sherri Smith, Tonya Thrapp, Aimee Edwards, Misty Byles, and Mary Smith. Her nephews David Smith, Chris Hicks, Wade Smith, and Clay Hicks. As well as numerous great nieces and nephews and even great-great nieces and nephews. All who adored her dearly.

Connie was pre-deceased by her parents, Clarence and Letha Smith, her son's father, Arlin Weeks, her son Ben "Tre'" Mazza III, her brother Jimmy Smith, and her nieces Amanda Smith Moran and Hannah Moran.

Connie worked many years as the Administrative Assistant to the Natchitoches Parish School Board Superintendent, as well as holding many other positions throughout the Natchitoches area as Secretary and as Accountant. Connie was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA and she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with all of her heart. We know that she is well now and in his Holy presence.
