He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine "Kat" Burney Phelps; his sons, Rusty Phelps (Martha), Benji Phelps and Jon Phelps (Yukie); his grandchildren, Peyton, Walker, Meredith, Kat, Hannah and Emma; his great grandchild Sawyer Ann; and his brother Carroll Phelps (Julia Ann).
