Though Blanche Mae may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Blanche Mae touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, L. D. Horn and Fannie Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband Leroy Shirey, Sr.; her sons, Leroy Shirey, Jr., Bill Rule and Dennis Rule; and her grandchildren, Gabrielle Shirey and Dustin Shirey.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery (6558 LA-6, Natchitoches, LA 71457).
