He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Henry Barnes, Sr. and Victoria Elizabeth Mullins Barnes; his wife Bettina Muelling Barnes; his daughters, Beth Barnes Nichols (Fred Nichols) of Barboursville, Julie Barnes Farkas (Richard Farkas) of Yarmouth Port, Maine, Alice Euart Barnes Barillas (Martin Barillas) of Flushing, Mich. and Martha Sue Barnes Smith (Scott Smith) of Mandeville; his son-in-law Sandy Harter of Naples, Fla.; his goddaughter Cabell Ratcliffe Mouton of Madisonville; his grandchildren, William Harter, Andrew Harter, Peterson Harter, Blanche Nichols, Robert Nichols, Keller Glass, Sarah Fitzsimmons, Bettina Barillas, Marianna Barillas, Guill Barillas, Daniel Barillas, Paine Smith and Addison Smith; his nieces, Cleone Brock, Anna Muelling McKay, Lisa Saunders and Robin Campbell; his cousins, Betty Emily Gaines, Rebecca Sexton, Carol Bailey and John Gaines; his daughter Lee Barnes Harter; his brother George Franklin Barnes; and his nephew Russell Franklin Barnes.
