He is survived by: his wife Patricia Lipford (Gould); his daughters, Ann Nichols (Doug) and Sandra Thrasher (Howard); his grandchildren, Darrell, Daniel Thrasher, Brandon and Taylor Nichols; his great grandchildren, Lillian Quinn Thrasher and Reed Alan Nichols; and his brothers, Floyd A. Simmons and Steve G. Simmons. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
