He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorris Jenkins and Irma Nesom Jenkins; his son Ronald "Ronnie" Jenkins; his granddaughter Sarah Ann Jenkins; and his stepgranddaughter Elizabeth Morel Dunnington.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Rogers Jenkins; his children, James A. Jenkins (Terry), Gwen Jenkins Vial (Donald), Roger Jenkins (Debi) and David Jenkins (Debbie); his daughter-in-law Myra Jenkins Sharpe; his grandchildren, Brian Vial (Christie), Ben Vial (Amber), Bryce Jenkins (Kailey), Dakota Jenkins, Cade Jenkins (Brie), Brittany Jenkins, Claire Vial Mauer (Matt), McKenna Jenkins Bregman (Martijn), Jessie Jenkins Kirkpatrick (Josh) and Rylie Jenkins; his stepgranddaughter Amanda Higginbotham (Chad); his great grandchildren, Hannah, Clay Vial, Emilie, Elena, James Vial, Marley, Margot Mauer and Briley Jenkins; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Savannnah and Dawson Kelly; and his siblings, Guy Jenkins (Norma) and Sue Jenkins Hamilton (Bob). He is also survived by siblings and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nehemiah Fund at Natalbany Baptist Church.
