He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcess Arthur Rogers and Carmelite Baker Rogers; and his brothers-in-law, Jake Bailey and Milton "Whitey" Bush. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Bailey Rogers; his daughter Lori Ray (Randy); his grandchildren, Stacie, Zachary and Joshua Ray; his sisters, Rita Bush and Maxine Jenkins (Jim); his close friends, Billie Jean and Oscar Lofton; and his sister-in-law Sandra Bailey-Simmons. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Natalbany Baptist Church building fund, PO Box 99, Natalbany, LA 70451.
