He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Jean Kennedy; his parents, Leonce Kennedy and Lillie Mae Davis; and his adoptive parents, Paul Kennedy and Hester Kennedy.
He is survived by: his children, Demetrius Brooks (Juanita), Frederick Lang (Tracy), Kendra Lovincy and Nakia Kennedy. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
