He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alma Dorsey Ward, Isaac Ward, Josephine Glover Sims and Leroy Sims, Sr.; his sister-in-law Terrilyn Sims; his aunts and uncles, Emily W. Jones, Bessie W. Williams, Verna W. Joseph, Nelson, Frank Sims, Sr., Ivory and Joseph Ward; and his godparents, Genevia and Harold Howard.
He is survived by: his parents, Dorothy Sims, and Rev. Houston Sims, Sr.; his siblings, Houston Sims, Jr. (Lisa), Brian Sims (Nikki), Yolanda Ann Sims, Rosalyn Tiffany Sims and Leslie Sims Akintounde (Abimbola); his uncles, Percy (Betty), Levi (Loranza), Leroy Sims, Jr. and Warren Ward; and his aunt Joann Sims. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
