He was predeceased by: his wife Debra C. Kern; his parents, Lloyd Kern, Sr. and Vera S. Kern; and his brothers, Lloyd Kern, Jr. and Neil Kern.
He is survived by: his son Joshua Kern (Jessica); his sisters, Iris K. Boudreaux and Ivy K. Jumonville; his sister-in-law Joan Kern; and his niece Kerrie Kern. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special caregiver.
