She was predeceased by: her husband Jessie Henry Holmes, Sr.; her son Tremain Belt; her parents, Margaret Belt, and George Belt, Jr.; and her brothers, Arthur "Pugga" and Anthony Belt.

She is survived by: her son Michael "Peanut" Holmes; her stepdaughter Daffiny Peters; and her siblings, George Belt, III, Charles A. Belt (Melanie), Rosalie Lewis (Donald, Sr.), Marynell Walker, Doris, Brenda and Beatrice Belt. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
