He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Mae and Joseph Ward, Sr.; his daughter Quanesha Lashay Thomas; and his brother Charles Burd. He is survived by: his close friend Hope Rivet; his children, Travon Williams, Deon Crockett, Jayden Smith and Deondra Crockett; and his siblings, Donald Ward, Mary Johnson (Andrew), Rose Ward, Charlene Ward-Aleem (Malik) and Joyce Ward. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
