With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Charles Sylvester of Napoleonville, Louisiana, born in Labadieville, Louisiana, who passed away on December 25, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Charles Alvin Sylvester; his parents, Izetta Sylvester and John Sylvester; his siblings, Evelyn Sylvester, Raymond, Ulysses, Junius and George Sylvester; and his sisters-in-law, Ruby, Minnie and Jessie Mae Sylvester.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Dugas Sylvester; his son Barry J. Sylvester; his daughter-in-law Dawnene Sylvester; his grandchildren, Delacer Wicker (Dennis), Aurora Edwards (Ernest Lucas), Tyler Edwards and Joshua Sylvester; and his great grandchildren, Raegan Forest, A'Niyah Morrow, Dillon Wicker and Erin Lucas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Donations MAY be made to the New Belmont Baptist Church Building Fund in the name of Deacon Alvin Sylvester.
