She was predeceased by: her parents, Martee Bell and Olivia Bell; her husband Aswell Brumfield; her siblings, Mary Lee Gatlin, Eva Nell Hart, Louis C. Bell and James D. Bell; and her son-in-law Richard Earl West.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda West of Mt. Herman, LA, Janice (Rex) of Mt. Herman, LA, Calvin Brumfield (Gladys) of Mt. Herman, LA, Alvin (Shanda) of Mt. Herman, LA, Michelle Lynn Brumfield of Mt. Herman, LA and Gayle Ross (Tobie) of Houston, TX; her siblings-in-law, Ora Mae Brumfield of Baton Rouge, LA and Lamar M. James of Mt. Herman; and her grandchildren, Quinta James, Kevin Hart, Jessica Mitchum, Darien Dyson, Shanette Daniels, Alvin Brumfield, Jr., Trey Brumfield, Jonathon Brumfield, Olivia Roberts, Jalin Reece and Roquita Tate. She is also survived by great- grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Crain and Sons Funeral Home (2000 Washington St, Franklinton, LA 70438). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church (28040 Par Rd 80, Mt Hermon, LA 70450).
