He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Jones Nichols; his granddaughter Ashley Nichols; his parents, Jack Nichols and Dixie Prine Nichols; his sister Stella Nichols Rogers; and his brother-in-law Ronald Brewer.
He is survived by: his son Cleveland "Charlie" Nichols; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Nichols; his daughters, Patricia Duncan and Sandra Bice; his son-in-law Eric "Fuzzy" Patterson; his sister Dianne Nichols Brewer; and his grandchildren, Michael Joseph Duncan, Jason Duncan, Andrew Duncan (Megan), Dixie Nichols (Roland Frye), Shelby Nichols McCarroll (Dillon), Christy Bice Kendall and Christopher Bice (Erin). He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory-Hammond (2000 N Morrison Blvd, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
