He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hatton; his children, David Hatton (Pat) and Lynda Hornsby (Larry); his sister-in-law Sandra Hatton; his grandchildren, Jamie Watson (Nic), Chelsey Shackelford (Aaron), Jessica Cohen (Pete) and Jodi Causey (Derek); and his great grandchildren, Lucas, Lane Watson, Slaydon, Sadie Shackelford, David, Scout Causey and Izzie Cohen.

“Just learned about the passing of my dear friend. Have many fond memories of Lewis while he lived in Tyler, Texas where he attended Friendly Baptist Church. Many many great meals provided, and "tons" of candy given out wherever he went. I believe if they need candy in Heaven Lewis will have ample to pass out. Rest in peace my dear friend !!”
