He was predeceased by: his wife Katheline Fontenot; and his father Clarence Dale Fontenot, Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Janice Young Fontenot, Sr.; his children, Justin Fontenot, Shannon Fontenot, Kaytelann Fontenot and Sabrina Fontenot; his brothers, Dale Fontenot, Jr., Michael Fontenot and Justin Fontenot; his nephew Zachary Fontenot; and his niece Madaline Fontenot.
