He is survived by: his wife Katy Burgess; his son Chase (Kristen Burgess) of Moss Bluff; his grandchildren, Wes, Gunnar, Fynli Burgess of Moss Bluff and Hannah Harmes of Longville; and his siblings, John (Tammy Anderson) of Moss Bluff, Tammy (Gary Thompson) of Ragley and Elly Benoit of Sulphur. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
