We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2023, at the age of 92, Nola Dean DeRouen Bourgeois of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, born in Bell City, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Tom; her granddaughter Kerri Jane Bourgeois Hebert; her brother Percy Derouen; and her parents, Lula Fontenot Derouen and Allen Derouen.
She is survived by: her children, Phyllis Hill (Kenneth) of Elton, Maureen Jones (Jim) of Missouri City, TX., Thomas Bourgeois (Martha) of Moss Bluff, Susan Hickman (Randy) of Covington, Elizabeth Sanders (Don) of Baton Rouge, Dr. Fred Bourgeois (Eve) of Moss Bluff, Dr. Helen Ware Mungai (Bill) of Shreveport and Mary Parham (Mark Sloan) of Bells, TX.; her siblings, Dr. Larry DeRouen (Marlene), Judith David (Hilton) and Dr. Tim Derouen (Cheryl) of Redmond, WA.; and her grandsons, Troy Hill, Delmas Jones, Brian Bourgeois, Patrick Hickman, Justin Bourgeois, Gregory Ware, Matt Jones, Andrew Hickman and Dustin Sanders. She is also survived by her extended family and is survived by 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Theodore Catholic Church or Harbor Hospice.
