He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Gibson and Melville Gibson; his siblings, Johnny Gibson, Orlean Brown and Viola Faulk; and his grandson Jerel Gutgsell.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Birdwell Gibson of Moss Bluff; his daughters, Donna Naquin (Tony) of Lake Charles, Brenda Gibson (Anita) of Houston and Laura Kidder (Tony) of Sulphur; his grandchildren, Matthew Soileau (Latisha) of Lake Charles, Rachel McFarlain (Charles) of Leesville and Haley Naquin (Zack Grant) of Bridge City; and his great grandchildren, Madison and Carter.
