He was predeceased by: his wife Myrtis Myers Mueller; and his siblings, Catherine Siebeneck, Ruth Mertens, Adele Clark, Julie Weber, Marjorie Brondel and Edgar Mueller.

He is survived by: his children, James Mueller, Jeff Pitre (Amanda), Sheila Peterson (Ken), Lisa Staley, Liz Mueller and Gina Mueller (Chad Smith); and his sister Nora Lee Conrad. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
