He was predeceased by: his son Anthony "Jamie" Richard; his grandson Zachary Richard; his parents, Telesmar Richard and Virgie Hargrave Richard; and his siblings, Hilda Richard Duhon, Virginia Richard Cormier, Margaret Richard Broussard, Myrna Richard Kibodeaux and Elbe Richard.
He is survived by: his wife Janelle Leger Richard of Morse; his children, Amy Richard of Baton Rouge and Larry J. "Richie" Richard, II (Amy) of Baton Rouge; his stepdaughters, Greta Vincent (Jeffery) of Morse, Cristal Breaux (James) of Crowley and Chanda Banks (Anna Arceneaux) of Morse; and his siblings, Norma Cates of Morse, Paul Richard (Loretta) of Gueydan, Oran Richard (Julie) of Jennings and Kermit Richard of Crowley. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
