He was predeceased by: his parents, John Simpson and Alma Jackson Simpson; and his siblings, Floyd L. Simpson and Myrtle McCullough. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Saucier Simpson of Big Cane; his children, Roger D. Simpson (Cindy) of Abita Springs and Karen Higginbotham (Toby) of Leonville; his sisters, Aline Minniear (Tommy) of Baton Rouge and Mary Stagg (Phillip) of Zachary; and his grandchildren, Tam Cason, Brody Cason, Aubrey Higginbotham, Lauren Simpson and Regan Simpson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
