She was predeceased by: her mother Sylvia R. Wilson; her husband Alvin Wilkerson; and her godson Elliott Bill. She is survived by: her father John Wilson of Morgan City, Louisiana; her daughters, Tanisha Wilkerson of Morgan City and Shanelle Wilkerson (Siracusaville) of Morgan City; and her siblings, Joan Wilson of Morgan City, Tracey Wilson of Morgan City, Alaina Shephard of Atlanta, Georgia and John Cooper (Dora) of Morgan City, Louisiana. She is also survived by four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the New Mt. Esther Baptist Church (1213 James St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
