He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Sr. Cavalier and Olivia Cavalier. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Hidalgo Cavalier of Bayou L'Ourse; his children, Jennifer Fryou (Roy) of Berwick and Joshua R. Cavalier (Michelle) of Patterson; his grandchildren, Rylee Fryou, Noah Fryou, Jien Kidder and Remi Thibodeaux; his siblings, Aurelia Landry, Edward Cavalier (Julie), Robert Cavalier (Barbara), Herbert Cavalier Jr. (Jana), Frank, Kelvin and Earl Cavalier; his brothers-in-law, Dewey Pennison and Joseph Landry; and his caregivers, Quandie, Abby and Debra. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Jerry's name to the DAV and the Wounded Warrior Project.
