She was predeceased by: her parents, Roussell Ruffin and Beulah Ruffin; her husband George Bass Jr.; and her grandson John Harris III. She is survived by: her daughter Jamika; her grandchildren, Bri'a Bass and Jayaun Harris; her great grandchildren, Christi'yaun Craig, Carter Scott, Jaxon Harris and Gail; her brother Evangelist Ronny Ruffin (DeShahn); her nieces and nephews, Jonathan Mack, Ronshwana Ruffin, Rochel Ruffin, Trinity Ruffin, Ricky Favors Jr., Ke'ron Ray, Dylan Ruffin and K'Lynee Ward; her goddaughter Leticia Charles; and her extended family, Elaine Greene (Kenneth) and John Harris Jr.. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (507 Fourth St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Morgan City Cemetery (450 Myrtle St, Morgan City, LA 70380).
