With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bettie Ann Scott Cannon of Morgan City, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024 at the age of 87. Though Bettie Ann Scott may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bettie Ann Scott touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleveland Scott and Cecilia Hartman-Scott; her son Roman Cannon; her husband Will Cannon, Jr.; and her sister Gloria Hebert (Scott).
She is survived by: her sons, Roger Cannon (Joslyn) of Berwick Louisiana, Will Cannon III (Chilinda) of Powder Springs, GA, Benjamin Cannon of Berwick, LA, Micheal Cannon of Houma Louisiana and Job Titus Cannon (Melissa) of Covington, GA.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Siracusaville Recreation Center (1110 Grace St, Morgan City, LA 70380). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Siracusaville Recreation Annex Building (1110 Grace St, Morgan City, LA 70380).
