He was predeceased by: his wife Inez Pierite Sampson; his parents, Laudrick Sampson and Laura Francisco Sampson; his son Shane Sampson; his brothers, Emeric Sampson, Kasmar Sampson and Ellis Sampson; his grandchildren, Ashley Franklin Sampson and Dontrell Deville Sampson; his sister Crystell Lonzo; and his godson John Sampson.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Sampson Barbin of Marksville, Larry Sampson, Jr. of Marksville, Marshall Ray Sampson, Sr. (Kayla) of Marksville, Cynthia Bridges (Lonnie, Sr.) of Moreauville, Leonard Lee Sampson, Sr. (Golda) of Marksville, Shannon Keith Sampson of Moreauville and Denika Sampson of Moreauville; his sisters, Velma Leveige, Mercell Sampson Pierite and Uradine Sampson Bonton; and his godsons, Terrell Wayne Logan and Johnny Pierite. He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren,; twenty great grandchildren,; and two great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (524 Main St, Moreauville, LA 71355).
