She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Hooks and Pauline Hooks; her brothers, Joe Allen Hooks, Joe Edward Hooks of Claude Hooks, N. D and Bill Hooks; her former husband Earl Hillman; and her grandson Cole Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Larry Wallace; her children, Dean Hillman (Phyllis), Tonya Purvis, Debbie Stewart (Willie), Connie Edwards and Liz Thompson (Quintin); her stepchildren, Bryan Wallace and Tami Beasley (Richard); her brothers, Timmy Hooks and Lynn Hooks; and her grandchildren, Wendy Faris, Kevin Hillman, Sonya Davis, Joshua Dowden, Shae Goins, Courtney McKee, Caleb LaCaze, Ashley Norris and Candance Thompson. She is also survived by thirty-seven great grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
