He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sistrunk and Gertrude Sistrunk; and his sister Werth Helm. He is survived by: his children, Steve (Lori Sistrunk), Billy Joe Sistrunk, Jimmy Sistrunk and Trudy Sistrunk; his foster children, Aimee Grant (Ted), Steve Ebarb and Jeff Ebarb; and his stepdaughters, Vicky, Cathy, Carol and Brenda. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
