He is survived by: his wife Joyce McCreery Hickman of Mooringsport, LA; his children, Susan Hickman Crenshaw (Fred) of Hallsville, TX, John Paul Hickman (Jamie) and Darren Hickman of Vivian, LA; his stepchildren, Joelina Griffin (George) of Corpus Christie, TX, Jackie Paddie (David) of Oil City, LA and Jerry A. Oliver Jr. of Mooringsport, LA; and his siblings, Claudia Clay of Hosston, LA, Marcia "Marcy" Chelette (Rick) of Hosston, LA and Lawrence Hickman (Bonnie) of Harleton, TX.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
