He is survived by: his parents, Deward Shaffer and Kay Louise Poston Shaffer; his former wife Vanessa Shaffer of Sutherland Springs, Texas; his daughters, Heather Gonseth (Fernando Palos) of Converse, Erica Sumner (Adam) of Floresville and Alecia Gonzales (Kyle) of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Mia Lee, Addison Sumner, Waylon Sumner, Ember Sumner, Jase Gonzales and Lukas Gonzales; his siblings, Shyla Stafford (John) of Gatesville and Tasha Corson (Greg) of Ohio; and his stepmother Debbie Beaver of Arkansas. He is also survived by aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
