He was predeceased by: his parents, Alen Coolman and Jewel Garza; his son David Lee Coolman; his granddaughter Searra O'Neal; and his siblings, Hubert, Robert (Bob), Gilbert (Teleha), Junior Coolman, Katherine Rice, Carolyn Carter and Rebecca Coolman (Becky).
He is survived by: his significant other Carol Ann Jones Coolman; his children, Jeanette Coolman, Roy Coolman Jr. (R. J.) and Norman Coolman (Janet) of Natchitoches; his grandchildren, Heather Coolman, Danielle, Megan, Austin, William and John (Kelsey); his great grandchildren, Bailey, Ethan, Sawyer and Camden; and his siblings, Olan Coolman, Eddie Coolman (Sherry) of Olla and Teresa James of Montgomery.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Maurice Cemetery (Montgomery, LA 71454).
