He was predeceased by: his brothers, Samuel (Helen) and Roger Donohew (Mary); his former wife Ethel Cox Donohew; and his parents, Ford Donohew and Ethel Couchman Donohew of Bath County.
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Phyllis Aileen-Donohew; his children, Robert Lewis Donohew, Jr., N. Y. and Kerry Schneider (Edward); and his stepchildren, Kimberly Braun of Boulder, CO, Kelly Chin-Yee (Stephen) and Dr. Adam Braun (Ashley). He is also survived by six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother.
