He was predeceased by: his children, Michael Chelette and Amber Ballard; his parents, Herbert Chelette and Evelyn Chelette; and his sister Jeanette Givens.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie Chelette of Montgomery; his daughters, Melissa Ballard of Montgomery and Heather Chelette of Montgomery; and his sister Linda Cox of Montgomery. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
