For Bobbie Jean is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Hayes and Velma Barnhill Hayes; her husband J. C. Carter; her children, Sharon Knighten and Larry F. Berry; and her grandsons, James Knighten and Dustin Kuhlmann.
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Weeks Perez and Delores McGuire. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southern Funeral Home (202 E Lafayette St, Winnfield, LA 71483). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Maurice Cemetery.
