She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Levear and Sally Book; her son John LeRoy Reese (Husband-John Reese, Jr.) of Burlington, IA; and her siblings, Levear Book, James Gary Book and Corrine Fisher.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Reese of Kings Mountain, NC and Linda King (Paul) of Aiken, SC; her sisters, Ann Cowan (Harvey) of Dunbarton, LA and Marie White of Dunbarton, LA; and her grandchildren, Michelle Brigman, Johnny Reese, LeAnna Palmer, Laura Tims, Gwen Reese, Ricky Reese Jr., John Reese Jr., Jonathan Reese, Brenden Reese Thompson, Rachel Neff, Ryan Neff, Chris King and Ashley Wilson. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the New Era Baptist Church (11698 LA-129, Monterey, LA 71354). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
