He was predeceased by: his parents, Luby A. Pinell and Celina Guidry Pinell; his brothers, Mickey Pinell and Ricky Pinell; and his brother-in-law Donald Portier.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Portier Pinell; his children, Jon A. Pinell (Penny), Jay P. Pinell (Lana), Jody J. Pinell and Jamie L. Pinell (Summer); and his siblings, Luby P. Pinell, Betty Prosperie and Belinda Prosperie. He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.
