She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Howard, Mamie Ruth Walker, Mary Payne and P. H. Jackson; her parents, Eugene, Sr. Payne and Ollie Ruth Payne; her brother Glenn Payne; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Price, Valley Payne and Catina Payne.
She is survived by: her daughter Bianca Franchesca Newby; and her siblings, Jeanette Payne, Delphine Payne, Alexis Payne-Price, Erika Payne, Angela Payne-Gibson, Crystal Payne, Eugene Payne, Jr., Barron D. Payne, Greg Howard Payne and Natalie Lawrence-Hayes (Michael).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Triumph Baptist Church (800 Girod St, Monroe, LA 71202). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Tynell Payne will be remembered not only for her contributions to education and the arts but for the warmth of her spirit and the kindness she extended to all who crossed her path.
