He is survived by: his children, Tonya Myers and Samuel Lance Hixon (Ginger); his grandchildren, Dalton Myers (Lauren), Michelle Allen (Brian), Jillyan Hixon and Kiley Hixon; his father Samuel C. Hixon; and his sisters, Pat Gulledge (Mike), Carol Smith and Barbara Andrews (Max). He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
